One of the world's largest banks selects SSH Communications Security's PrivX solution to implement Zero Trust with Zero Standing Access

SSH Communications Security Corporation (SSH) has signed an agreement with one of the largest and most influential banks globally on the implementation of a Zero Trust – Zero Standing Access (ZSA) architecture based on SSH's PrivX™ Key Manager and Privileged Access Management solution.

The agreement value is estimated to be close to three million EUR over 3 years with an option to extend into years four and five.

AI-powered attackers can now exploit a newly discovered software flaw in minutes and use any permanent credential, like a stored key, password, or system account, to spread through a company's networks faster than security teams can respond. Removing these standing credentials and granting access only when needed, for only as long as needed, closes that door.

Financial institutions are accelerating the elimination of long-lived credentials as advanced agentic AI systems and the proliferation of non-human identities (NHIs) have compressed the time from vulnerability disclosure to working exploit significantly.

Zero Standing Access replaces permanent access credentials – such as SSH keys, API tokens, session tokens, certificates, and passwords – with just-in-time, policy-based access that expires automatically and leaves no standing permissions to be stolen or misused.

The solution is delivered in partnership with World Wide Technology (WWT), a large global technology and IT service provider.

“Due to the increased threat of agentic AI, financial institutions are now rapidly moving to ZSA. SSH’s PrivX is in a unique position to enable the transition to short-lived credentials, just-in-time (JIT) access, and granular, policy-based entitlement control. A recent report by a leading market analyst KuppingerCole names SSH as part of ‘a new wave of innovation’, capable of solving this problem”, says Rami Raulas, CEO of SSH Communications Security.
