Metso’s four largest shareholders have appointed their representatives to the Shareholders’ Nomination Board. In accordance with the Charter of the Shareholders' Nomination Board, the Chair of Metso's Board of Directors serves as its fifth member.
According to Metso's shareholder register on August 15, 2026, the company’s four largest registered shareholders were Solidium (14.9%), Cevian Capital Partners (7.8%), Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company (3.4%) and Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company (2.9%).
Accordingly, Metso’s Shareholders’ Nomination Board consists of:
- Petter Söderström, CFO, Solidium
- Christer Gardell, Managing Partner, Cevian Capital
- Mikko Mursula, President and CEO, Ilmarinen
- Risto Murto, President and CEO, Varma
- Kari Stadigh, Chair of Metso’s Board of Directors
The Nomination Board will submit its proposals concerning the composition and remuneration of the Board to Metso’s Board of Directors no later than January 31, 2027.
